Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 12:38PM In 2014 House of Illustration will open its doors in the heart of the King's Cross regeneration area, right next door to Central St. Martins and close to the British Library. This will be a world first—the first ever public gallery and education space dedicated to exhibiting, celebrating and learning about British and international illustration and illustrators.
They are recruiting a full-time Curator to take responsibility for curating the exhibitions programme, making a major contribution to the organisation's creative vision. The postholder will also support and work in tandem with guest curators, be responsible for the successful organisation and co-ordination of the exhibitions and touring exhibitions, and will contribute to the public programme.
House of Illustration has a small staff team. They are looking for someone with imagination and vision, who can help House of Illustration build a worldwide reputation; someone passionate and courageous, who can champion their programme, convince the critics and recognise the audience potential of an exhibition. They must be happy to work on their own initiative and use their judgement, but understand how to build respect and relationships.
Salary: £32,000 pa
