This is 3x3 magazine's tenth year judging the world's best contemporary picture books.

Creative Quarterly 32 Call for Entries Deadline: April 26, 2013

It's that time again: Creative Quarterly magazine's call for entries. At $15 per entry/$45 per series it's the least costly contest out there.

Categories include Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration and Photography. Both commissioned and personal work is accepted.

Winners are published in the next issue of the magazine and in their online gallery.

Breakthrough: A New Illustrators Contest '13

Artist representative Richard Solomon has just announced that his annual Breakthrough illustrator's contest will run this year with no submission fees.

The contest is open to illustrators under thirty years old with less than five years of professional experience, including students. Acceptable submissions will consist of 1-5 images. The grand prize is an all expenses paid trip to New York City for portfolio reviews by Solomon, his staff and industry professionals.

3x3 Pro Show No. 10 Call for Entries Deadline: Mar. 29, 2013

3x3 Magazine is now accepting entries for their Professional Show No. 10. The deadline is March 29, 2013.

Judges this year include: Linda Boyle, You Magazine; Matt Dorfman, The New York Times, Op-Ed; Jocelyne Fournel, L'actualité; Brian McMullen, McSweeney's; and Illustrators Harry Campbell, Shout, Jakob Hinrichs and Gonçalo Viana.

Entry fees are $35/single image, $60/series. New categories include Calendars, Greeting Cards, Corporate Communications, Covers, Cartoons/Comics, Pro-bono, Packaging, Stamps, Textiles and Patterns and multiple Editorial sub-categories. American Illustration 32 Call for Entries Deadline: Feb. 25, 2013 

American Illustration 32 is accepting entries for this year's contest. Deadline: February 15 Februrary 25, 2013. Enter now!

Winning images appear in the printed book (see AI 31 book at left) and on the organization's website.

A party is held each year in November to honor the winners and to celebrate the launch of the book.

Fees: $25/single entry, $75/series (Students: $10/single entry, $60/series) plus publication fees for winners.

Judges will be announced in January, 2013.
